If you’ve ever found yourself walking through a city, humming a melody that feels like it’s been lived in for decades, you’ll know exactly where Sanchita Pandey is coming from. The Mumbai-based powerhouse recently dropped the official video for her latest single, “Aa Bhi Jaa,” and it is a masterclass in blending a youthful, “Forever 16” energy with deep classical roots. For Sanchita, the journey hasn’t been about chasing trends, but about finding that “inner rhythm” which turns a simple walk into something straight out of a movie scene.

Sanchita isn’t exactly a newcomer to the grind. From performing at Siri Fort and All India Radio to winning awards at Delhi University, her foundation is rock-solid Indian Classical. But in 2021, encouraged by her daughter Anandita, she made the leap from interpreting classics to writing her own original music. Since then, she has discovered a new creative dimension, finding that the discipline of daily riyaz is an anchor that holds firm through every relocation and life phase.

Her latest drop, “Aa Bhi Jaa” (released February 12, 2026), is a romantic anthem built around nostalgia and the "unfinished conversations" that linger after a separation. The melody didn’t start with a MIDI keyboard or a guitar; it sparked during a walk. Sanchita visualized a cinematic scene of someone driving through a long stretch of road while memories unfold, composing the tune and lyrics simultaneously from pure imagination. The production, handled by Mayyank Solanki, keeps this emotional core intact while introducing subtle contemporary textures that allow the poetry to breathe.

The London-shot music video adds a stunning diasporic layer to the track, blending global urban imagery with the melodic warmth of 90s Bollywood. Filming across the UK over 15 days was a mix of spontaneous creativity and hilarious "BTS" moments. "We’d be sipping iced teas, and suddenly the camera was on! I’d have to instantly switch from laughing to my ‘serious emotional face’ to match the song's tone," Sanchita laughs. Between carrying heavy gear bags and finding magic in London’s parks and pavements, her team captured a sense of belonging that influenced the visual tone of the entire project.

For Sanchita, music is a way of life that demands both sincerity and toughness. You might catch glimpses of the soul of Jagjit Singh or the legendary modulation of Lata Mangeshkar creeping into her style, but her goal is always authenticity. Whether she’s practicing taans during a fast walk on the beach or dreaming of a collaboration with Arijit Singh or Ed Sheeran, Sanchita is a creator who finds the magic in the tiny details. As she continues her journey, she reminds us to keep going in faith. In her own words: “Never let the things you want, make you forget the things you have.” Get your ears ready because Sanchita Pandey isn't just singing; she's building a soulful bridge across cultures.
