Millennio’s “Sunroof” Is Manifestation With the Windows Down

Millennio wants things. Not in the usual rap song, let me show you what I have kind of way. More in the write it down, say it out loud, maybe the universe will listen kind of way. His latest release, “Sunroof”, is built around that mindset. Released on September 4, the Hip-Hop and R&B track was written as a summer song, but instead of filling it with the

usual flexing, Millennio turned it into what he calls his “manifestation memoir”.

Before he was putting all of that on a track, he was playing guitar in a school band. He started at 16 and spent years playing before moving into production and recording. These days, his influences run through Eminem, Drake and Timbaland, with Travis Scott, Lil Peep and Juice WRLD also making the list. You can hear the rap influence in “Sunroof”, but the subject matter takes a different route. This one is less about showing off and more about saying what he wants out loud.

He had the song written last year. The problem was the beat. That didn’t turn up until May 2026, after which things moved quickly. He recorded, mixed and mastered the track at his home studio in three days. The first version of the song came together in a much less planned setting, though. While partying at a friend’s studio in London, a very stoned Millennio started freestyling over a beat. The room apparently went silent. Some of that freestyle eventually found its way into “Sunroof”.

There’s another side to Millennio that doesn’t immediately match the sunny title. Asked to describe his story in one word, he went with “Dark”. He also talks about wanting to tell his stories through music and cinematic visuals, which makes sense for someone who describes himself as a kid from Delhi trying to get those stories out into the world. “Sunroof” happens to be the one that arrived with the windows down.

Diljit and Central Cee sit on the dream collaboration list. The cinematic side of the music is something he wants to keep exploring too. Between a year of waiting on the beat and three days tracking it alone in his bedroom, 'Sunroof' finally made it out,
