Tushar Raj | Artist Spotlight

Tushar Raj is an 18 year old Indie Singer Songwriter from Kolkata. He is heavily inspired by artists like Lauv, Jeremy Zucker, Blackbear, and Khalid. He started composing music at the age of 12 and over the years he has developed his own style of music, which is a hybrid of Alternative R&B and Indie Pop. He writes and sings about his life experiences and calls himself a modern day story teller.

Tushar started off by posting short song covers on Facebook and Instagram, until he finally decided to start releasing his original content. He is currently working on his upcoming EP, he is just starting out in the music scene. Other than music, he’s extended his hands to other forms of art, such as making short films inspiring people reach out for their dreams.

He released 2Am on Aug 27, 2020 and is his most personal track so far. Although this song has been released recently he recorded it two years ago when he was a in a dark place in his life. He wrote it when he believed that things wouldn't get better for him but now, looking back at those years he's glad that he believed in himself when no one else did.
