Vivek Sharma: Finding Peace through Music with 'Sukoon Hi Sukoon'

Music has the power to touch our souls, evoke emotions, and take us on a journey of self-discovery. Vivek Sharma, known by his artist name Vivek Dadhich, is an Indian singer/songwriter who has embarked on such a journey through his heartfelt compositions. Born in 1983 in Nagaur, Rajasthan, Vivek's musical roots run deep, thanks to his father, a tabla maestro and multi-talented creative soul.

Growing up in a middle-class family, Vivek experienced the beauty of rural Rajasthan, constantly surrounded by musical baithaks and gatherings of creative minds. However, like any middle-class child, his focus was primarily on securing a stable future. After completing his studies in physics, Vivek pursued a career in computer applications, working for prestigious companies like Morgan Stanley.

It was during his time in London, UK, that Vivek's creativity found the space it needed to bloom. With the support and encouragement of his wife, Neha Sharma, Vivek began to express himself through writing, combining his heartfelt words with enchanting melodies. His compositions, heavily influenced by the likes of Gulzar Sahab and Vishal Bhardwaj, gave birth to soul-stirring indie, Indian folk, romantic, contemporary, and ghazal melodies.

In 2020, amidst the global pandemic, Vivek released his first song, "Ret Kinare Ki," a romantic composition that metaphorically compared love to the sea and shore. The song received immense appreciation and motivated Vivek to share more of his heartfelt creations with the world. His latest release, "Sukoon Hi Sukoon," is a testament to his artistic growth.

"Sukoon Hi Sukoon" was born out of silence, as Vivek found himself lost in thought during a solitary walk. The serenity of the moment inspired him to capture and share that bliss with others. The song's opening lines, "Kash main suna sakun, tumhe ye khamoshiyan..." beautifully convey the peace found amidst the chaos of life.

Vivek's music is a reflection of his personal journey, driven by the desire to find solace and peace within himself. Through his soothing melodies, he aims to touch the hearts of listeners and ignite emotions that resonate deep within their souls. His favorite quote, "Ho ke kya ho jayega" from his own song, captures the essence of embracing the present and letting go of worries about the future.

As Vivek continues to explore his musical path, he remains open to collaborations with Indian artists who can appreciate the soul of his writing. Although based in Chelmsford, UK, his music is deeply rooted in Indian culture and emotions. With each song, Vivek invites listeners on a journey of self-discovery, guided by the melodies of his favorite instrument, the flute.

Vivek Sharma, or Vivek Dadhich, is a seeker of sukoon in music. His compositions serve as a medium to connect with audiences on a profound level, leaving a lasting impact. With his wife Neha Sharma by his side, managing various aspects of his career, Vivek is poised to make a significant mark in the world of indie music. As he continues to release his soul-stirring compositions, we eagerly await the next chapter of his musical journey.
